1. Meals: One idea is that each cabin can be responsible for their own breakfast and lunches each day. I am sure we can find a grocery store nearby. Then we could rotate dinner assignments.
2. We can have one day that we designate as golfing and pool/waterslide day (it does cost extra).
3. Kristen would like to be in charge of t-shirts.
4. In addition to all of the activities they have there, I thought we might have some sort of ongoing Wii-eunion tournaments for anyone who wants to enter.
5. Other activity ideas? Talent show, historical tours, ??
6. There could also be optional pre- and post-reunion activities for anyone interested (Hershey Park, going to DC).

I am a very strong advocate of doing Hershey Park before or after the reunion, and would love to coordinate if needed.
ReplyDelete1. Sounds good. We may also want to plan for a couple of picnic lunch days.
ReplyDelete2. Sounds good too.
3. Kristen -- I'd love to be a consultant.
4. Yes! Hmm, will there be a handicap for Wii owners?
5. We think a book swap would be great. It's not an activity really; just bring books you liked but don't feel the need to keep. Also a "variety show" would be fun -- kind of a talent/performance/misc. combo that everyone could participate in. We can be in charge of leading a driving tour if anyone is interested (1-2 hours and still good for the kids because you can get out and walk around as much as you like -- and climb a very cool observation tower). I think some family sports would be great: wiffle ball, volleyball, water balloons (and of course the traditional 4th of July balloon launcher!). Does anyone know if we are allowed to light fireworks there? If not, or even if so, I think a professional fireworks show would be extremeley fun there in Gettysburg.
6. We want to spend a night in D.C. in a cool Kimpton hotel. We are flexible to go before or after depending on other's preferences for Hershey.
Great ideas, Jenny. Love the book swap!
