Anyone interested in having a book club at the family reunion?

-Kite Runner
-The Time Traveler's Wife (I heard some good things about this one)
-The Story of Edgar Sawtelle (this is what Oprah's book club is reading0

I haven't read any of the books, but I have seen the movies of Bees and Kite Runner. Aunt Linda read Kite Runner and said she had a difficult time reading some of the parts. I haven't heard of the last two books. So I would vote for Bees or either of the last two.
ReplyDeleteAlong the Gettysburg/Civil War theme, we suggest "The Killer Angels" by Michael Shaara. If you've already that (it is a historical novel) there is also a prequel AND a sequel.

Given my LOST experience lately, I think I might enjoy the Time Traveler's Wife.

I read Time Traveler's Wife - it has some inappropriate things in it, so I wouldn't recommend it. I've also read the first two, but not the last.I would be fine with either of those.
